2014. During the awards of the inspection and competition for the best managed educational spaces, the first “Memorial Table” was given to Zarasai Agricultural School. In September 17-21th, the Lithuanian Center for Non-formal Education of Students organized training “Preconditions for Improving the Quality of Educational Spaces in Lithuanian Educational Institutions, Based on the Experience of Public Education Institutions in Berlin and Potsdam”. The school employees Donata Radionova and Loreta Naujokaitienė took place in the training in Germany.
In the competition in 2016 Zarasai Agricultural School won the 2nd place among vocational training institutions. At the international conference "Educational Spaces and the Process of Education - Innovations in the Creation of Educational Spaces and Good Practices of Schools", we presented a poster report "Compose, plant, understand!". On the 20-25th of September 2016 The Lithuanian Center for Non-formal Education of Students organized a practicum “Assumptions for Improving the Quality of Educational Spaces in Lithuanian Educational Institutions Based on the Experience of Austrian Public Education Institutions and Public Educational Spaces” for the winners of the best managed schools environment. One representative of the school-winner was invited to the training. During the educational trip, the participants of the practicum summarized the results of the examination-competition, discussed the evaluation criteria and the possibilities of their improvement, presented the educational spaces and future visions of their schools.
2017. At the conference “Educational Spaces in Educational Institutions - Cohesion of Cognition, Creativity and Management” the school presented a poster report on the establishment and use of the school orangery for education. A film about the school's educational spaces has been made. (link). On the 11-15th of July, the senior teacher of the school Janina Čepelionienė and deputy director for education Lilija Zajančkauskienė participated in the international training “Assumptions for Improving the Quality of Educational Spaces in Lithuanian Educational Institutions, Based on the Experience of Hungarian and Romanian Public Educational Institutions and Public Educational Spaces”. During the training, the participants got acquainted with the beech forests, the formation of educational spaces in hanging gardens and the possibilities of using terraces in creating environments. One day of training was devoted to the peculiarities of the Hungarian flora, the steppe vegetation. The participants of the seminar presented the ideas of educational spaces and nature expositions in their school environment.
On the 18th of October 2018, the 6th international conference "Educational Spaces and the Process of Education" was held in the Botanical Garden of Vilnius University. At the conference, a poster report of our school “Installation of a earthworm farm at Zarasai Agricultural School” was made and presented by our teacher Donata Radionova. In 2018 there was a rosary planted next to the school canteen and an informational nesting-box stand arranged next to the school green class. In April 4th, 2018, a seminar “Establishment of Educational Spaces in Zarasai Agricultural School. Dissemination of good practice” was organized for representatives of Zarasai city educational institutions. In May 23-25th, 2018, in Zarasai, the Lithuanian Center for Non-formal Education of Pupils and Zarasai Agricultural School organized a national qualification improvement seminar “Unique Solutions for the Use and Development of Educational Spaces”. Our school became the winner in category A in the competition „School Educational Spaces 2018“.
In 2018 Zarasai Agricultural school has become a Health Promoting School (Certificate 24/04/2018, No. SM-493), the aim of which is to strengthen the physical, mental and spiritual health of students and other members of the school community, deepen health knowledge and develop healthy lifestyle skills.
In June 11th, 2019, our school organized a seminar “Educational Spaces in the Environment of Zarasai Educational Institutions”. During this event the representatives of Zarasai Santarvė Primary School, Zarasai Lakštingala School and Zarasai Vocational School shared their work experience, exchanged innovative ideas and created educational spaces and didactic tools and used them in the educational process. In October 17th, 2019, at the international conference “Education in Educational Spaces: Aspects of Biodiversity for Human Health and Nutrition”, our school presented a poster report “Non-traditional environment - more interesting learning and better health”. In December 9th, 2019, Zarasai Vocational School organized a seminar-creative workshop on Christmas decorations.
2020. The magazine „Rasos“ (February 19-March 3, 2020, No. 4 (540)) published Giedrė Mičiūnienė's article “The School in the Shelter of Nature”. The article was about Zarasai Vocational school's educational spaces, nature expositions for education, the development of aesthetic taste, and the increase of learning motivation.
